Speech of tourism in Malaysia
A very good morning to my fellow friends. The topic of my speech is  “ Tourism in Malaysia ”. Nowadays, tourism has become Malaysia’s third largest foreign exchange earner . As of 2011, Malaysia was ranked the top 9 in the world’s most visited country, behind Germany. Mostly tourism came to visit many beautiful area in Malaysia like island , beach , jungle , mountain and so on. We have to increase the number of tourism in Malaysia because our country can get many benefits in can make Malaysia popular.

How we can increase the number of tourist in Malaysia? The first thing is make a tourism promotion inside and outside of a country to give many people know about Malaysia. The promotion must tell about the beautiful place in Malaysia and all the unique things in our country. The government can make a video to introduce the beautiful place in Malaysia and it can make more people know about Malaysia. The second thing to increase the number of tourism in Malaysia is by upgrade the public utilities. We must make our airport in first class situation because airport is the first thing looked by tourist outside of country because it can make travel easier to come in Malaysia. Beside that ,our government also have to increase the standard of highway because it can decrease the travel distance of tourist and the tourist will not feel tired when going to a place. Furthermore, Malaysian people also have to become very friendly to tourist to increase the number of tourism in Malaysia .It can build a positive image about Malaysia and its people in tourist eye. This will make tourist like to came to Malaysia and the will tell about the unique of Malaysia to their family and friend.

Tourism in Malaysia can bring some positive and negative impact. One of the positive impact is tourism bring a lot of foreign exchange and creating many job opportunity. This is because tourism must work with state government , regional and local community planning and the economic development. In 2010, Malaysia’s tourism is expected to generate RM98 billion of economic activity. The industry’s direct and indirect effect of travel and tourism in Malaysia in 2010 was expected to account for 37 billion of GDP. Tourism can touch all the sectors of the economy such as export revenue , services and merchandise. Economy employment representing 1331000 jobs and it making tourism in Malaysia is the second largest contributor of foreign exchange earnings to the colk kluntry. The negative impact that bring by tourism in Malaysia is the tourism industry will affected by the economic problem so once the economic conditions was bad , many tourism industry will cut cost for example cut down manpower , tour leader and staff for cost saving, therefore in that financial crisis years many people losing their job.

In a conclusion , tourism in Malaysia can bring many effects to Malaysia .We must work together to increase the number of tourists in Malaysia so our country can become  prosperous country. Thank you.
